Prepare the property before the handover
Confirm the actual entrance, proposed position, placement approval and access contact. For a trailer, establish responsibility for connections. Share the plan with other suppliers so they do not occupy the route or space needed for equipment and entry.
Keep the departure as organised as the arrival
Record the final use and how collection will be requested. Arrange entry after public hours if necessary and report changed conditions. Keep unsafe equipment out of use and seek the rental team’s instructions instead of attempting an improvised move or repair.
Report a change before moving equipment
If the agreed position becomes blocked or a unit is damaged, stop using an unsafe area and contact the provider for instructions. Give the site address and a useful description of the problem. Do not tip, tow or relocate equipment on your own; agree the next step and any service changes with the responsible contact.
Keep the rental contact informed
- A blocked approach or a newly restricted gate
- Changed use dates or a request for collection
- Equipment or supply issues that need attention
