Include the entry arrangement in your equipment brief
Say that accessible facilities are needed and ask for details of the actual proposed unit. Explain the property and the users’ route from the main activity. Do not assume the larger cabin shown in a photograph confirms the features or suitability of the equipment being offered.
Review the surrounding space with the organiser
The property contact should consider the surface, approach and clear space at the entrance, including after furniture and decorations arrive. Keep that route usable during evening activity too. Choosing accessible equipment is one part of a complete plan, not certification of the whole venue.
Check the journey before settling on the unit
A larger cabin does not resolve an obstructed approach. Describe where a person enters the site, the surface along the route and the space available at the door. Ask the provider for the proposed model’s access features and dimensions; the organiser still needs to review the overall arrangement.
Review the route with the property contact
- Changes of level between the entrance and the proposed position
- Objects or parked vehicles that may narrow the approach
- How the route will remain usable during setup and collection
